5 months later I’m yet to understand what Prof Judi Wakhungu intended to achieve with her polythene ban. According to the good Professor, butchers should not use polythene bags but Bread factories are okay using them. Hawkers should not use polythene when selling their watermelon, boiled eggs and others wares, but sweets, soaps, and other factories can continue using polythene. So what exactly were we aspiring to achieve with this ban? Have we achieved it now? Was the move not malicious? Was this Professor not trying to be populist? Were we not opening a business for someone? I don’t understand this.

The violence and looting by NRM is meant to intimidate judges of the supreme Court so that they can rule in a certain way and also to prove to the world that Kenya is in a crisis as alleged by raila.
